OUR TRAINERS
Mark Hoad, Lewes, East Sussex.
Mark has spent all of his life within the racing industry and began his career in racing as a successful National Hunt Jockey and rode lots winners in his riding career and rode for our racing manager's uncle as a N/H jockey, so we have known Mark for over 30 years.
We chose Mark as he has an excellent team and gives the horses the best care whilst in his yard after he took over the reigns from his father, Roger, some years ago.
He has trained winners on the flat as well as over the jumps and trains on the south downs at the old Lewes racecourse where he has access to some of the best gallops on the old racecourse.
He trains 2 of our Horses, Forever Proud who has won twice and placed 3rd twice this year and Apple a Dey, on her first run and a fast finishing 3rd for us at Kempton, who is now back in training after a break who us sure to win races this year.
John Jenkins, Royston, Herts.
John has spent his life working with horses, he served his apprenticeship with G.R.Smyth before becoming a jump jockey. During his twelve year career as a jockey, he rode over one hundred winners.
Since receiving his trainer’s dual licence, John has trained winning horses for many different types of owner, the individual, groups, joint and corporate owners. His horses have won the Cesarewitch, Chester Cup and Doncaster Mile on the flat, and his jumpers have won the Triumph Hurdle, the Lanzarote Hurdle and the Tote Hurdle during his thirty plus year career.
The facilities at John's establishment at King's Ride is second to none, he gives 100% to all his horses under his care and his staff are so helpful in assisting owners at the yard.
